Our July feature is BookFLIX,™ our newest online animated picture books. Each of these classic picture storybooks is paired with a nonfiction eBook that connects the fictional story to related facts. You can read the books or have them read to you. This resource includes quizzes, games, puzzles and approved web links. Like TumbleBooks,™ these eBooks can count as part of your Summer Reading goal!

FCPL is partnering with Forsyth Reads Together, a reading initiative that invites all county residents to read the same book at the same time! This summer, Forsyth is reading Murder on the Orient Express, by Agatha Christie. Join us for library events and programs including a travel night, movie nights, and a book discussion! For more information, click here to go to our Programs page. (Forsyth Reads Together is presented by the Forsyth County Certified Literate Community Program.)

New License plates to benefit public libraries in the State of Georgia!
-
A portion of the charges for these special tags will be donated to the Georgia Center for the Book and in turn used to purchase books for the state's public libraries.
Each tag is subject to annual charges of $50 for the first year and $25 thereafter, in addition to standard registration fees.
Application forms can be downloaded here, but application must be made in person at your local county tag office. In order for the special plates to be manufactured, 1,000 applications must be received statewide before Dec. 31, 2008. If insufficient applications are received, all application fees will be refunded.
