These 40 minute programs introduce age-appropriate books and stories. We also incorporate action rhymes, songs, and movement to help support your toddler’s developing literacy in fun and exciting ways. This program is suggested for toddlers, ages 18-36 months, with a caregiver. Advance registration is not required for this program.

FCPL Writing Group

Are you a writer who is looking for a local resource and a forum for your work? Are you looking for some feedback about your writing? Join us on the second and fourth Thursday of each month at Post Road Library from 5-7 p.m. to discuss works of others in the group and receive constructive feedback about your own. No advance registration is required to attend and all writers are welcome. Each meeting will last approximately 2 hours. This program is for adults only.

Toastmasters Speechcraft Workshop

Speechcraft is a workshop designed to help you develop communication and leadership skills to improve your professional growth. This eight-session program will help you gain confidence in communication styles including writing and delivering speeches, impromptu speaking, the use of audiovisual aids and body language and effective listening.

This program is intended for adults. Attendance is very limited. Each attendee agrees to attend all eight sessions. Sessions take place at 6:30 p.m. on the following dates: 3/8, 3/15, 3/29, 4/5, 4/12, 4/19, 4/26, and 5/3.

Advance Registration is required. Registration for this class automatically registers you for the remaining sessions.

Forsyth Reads Together: An Evening with Gregory Maguire

Join FCPL at the Forsyth Conference Center where Gregory Maguire will discuss his novel, Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West. Mr. Maguire will speak at 7:00 p.m. and a book signing will follow. The Forsyth Conference Center is located at 3410 Ronald Reagan Blvd., Cumming, Georgia 30041. Forsyth Reads Together is sponsored by the Forsyth County Public Library, FCPL Friends & Advocates, and The Forsyth County Arts Alliance Fund at the North Georgia Community Foundation.
