Family Fun Night: Geocaching 101

Why should kids have all the fun? Parents grab the kids and join us monthly for STEAM challenges, games, puzzles and more!
Ever dream of becoming a real life treasure hunter? Come learn all about Geocaching, “a real-world, outdoor treasure hunting game.” Learn how to get started in this fun adventure suitable for all ages and practice finding some geocaches hidden here at the library.
This program is for families with children grades K-5. Space in this program is limited. Arrive early to secure your spot. Lines will form 30 minutes prior to the program.

Toastmasters Speechcraft Workshop

Speechcraft is a workshop designed to help you develop communication and leadership skills to improve your professional growth. This eight-session program will help you gain confidence in communication styles including writing and delivering speeches, impromptu speaking, the use of audiovisual aids and body language and effective listening.

This program is intended for adults. Attendance is very limited. Each attendee agrees to attend all eight sessions. Sessions take place at 6:30 p.m. on the following dates: 3/8, 3/15, 3/29, 4/5, 4/12, 4/19, 4/26, and 5/3.

Advance Registration is required. Register for the entire series by signing up for the March 8th class.

The Challenged: A Book Club for Parents to Discuss Targeted Kids’ Books

Are you a parent of an elementary or middle grade student? Do you enjoy reading children’s books? Would you like to share your opinions about children’s books that have been challenged or banned? If you “answered” yes, join us for an informational meeting to discuss this summer’s The Challenged Book Club! Participants will be able to take home a copy of the first book, The Higher Power of Lucky by Susan Patron.
