Slab Poured for New Expansion Section

Over the weekend about 27 trucks delivered a steady stream of concrete that was pumped over the site and onto the slab for the new expansion section of the Sharon Forks Library. Construction of the slab required about 240 cubic yards of concrete.

If you look closely in the third photo below, you'll notice the area covered by the yellow material will be our new meeting and program room. We know our patrons are looking forward to a little extra elbow room at storytimes and events, and so are we!

Nearly 30 trucks were required to deliver all the concrete for the slab of the expansion portion of the project.

Concrete was pumped over the construction site to form the slab.
