Demolition Begins in Meeting Room

Work on the driveway and expansion portion of the project continues as old roofing panels are removed and the roof is treated with ice and water shield in preparation for the arrival of new roofing panels next week.

In the next few weeks, the final steel columns and beams will be set and crews will begin joining the new expansion portion to the existing library building. HVAC and elecrtical work are already underway in the expansion area.

Also, demolition work is underway in the meeting room. Without the meeting room, the library is limited in offering programming, but the Sharon Forks Youth Services staff will be presenting weekly storytimes in the media center at South Forsyth Middle school, just across the street from the Sharon Forks Library, throughout the summer. Patrons can find information and a schedule of these programs on the event calendar at www.forsythpl.org.
