Hiking 101 is a virtual program intended for adults with little to no experience in hiking and for those who want to know more about the activity. This program will be presented by Reba Brumbeloe, an Interpretive Ranger at Florence Marina and Providence Canyon State Park. Ms. Brumbeloe will discuss proper clothing, necessary gear to bring, safety tips, top 10 tips from the expert, and recommendations on local sites that are great for beginners and local resources for hikers of all levels. Registration is requested.

Reba Brumbeloe is the Interpretive Ranger at Florence Marina and Providence Canyon State Park. Reba is originally from LaGrange, Georgia and has worked in the parks system for 4 years. Reba attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and completed a bachelors in natural resource conservation and associates in wildlife technology. After college, she started her career at FDR State Park, moved to Chattahoochee Bend State Park, and has been at Florence Marina/Providence Canyon for a little over a year.
