Learn the foundations of quilting and create your own children's sampler quilt! No prior quilting experience necessary. All materials will be provided. The program will be taught by the president of the Piecemakers Quilt Guild, Ellen Masters.
Ellen is a teacher, quilter, and seamstress and spent over 40 years teaching elementary students and children with severe disabilities. She began sewing at age six on her mother's Singer machine. She is passionate about both quilting and teaching and has been teaching children's quilting and sewing classes for over ten years. She teaches classes in local quilt shops, her quilt guild, and now in Forsyth County Public Library.
The program is for students in grades 2nd through 5th grade. Advance registration is required. Registration will open on Thursday, August 11. This program is an 5-week series. Participants are asked to commit to the entire 5 weeks.
