Books & Babies for Walkers

Develop baby's pre-literacy skills as well as physical, social, and mental development. This storytime introduces a love for books, song, movement, rhythm and rhyme. Improve motor, sensory and social skills during free play time, which also provides an opportunity for both babies and parents to socialize. Books & Babies is also about parents as you bond and learn with baby as well as meet other parents in the community.

This program is for babies up to 24 months old, with a parent or caregiver, and lasts 25-30 minutes.

Toddler Tales Storytime

These 30 minute programs introduce age-appropriate books and stories. We also incorporate action rhymes, songs, and movement to help support your toddler’s developing literacy in fun and exciting ways. This program is suggested for toddlers, ages 18-36 months, with a caregiver. Advance registration is not required for this program.

Preschool Pals Storytime

These programs are designed to promote language, listening, and pre-reading skills by offering vocabulary development, experiences with a variety of literature, and participation in language-related activities. Hear stories, sing songs, and develop the skills needed to become a successful reader. This program is suggested for children, ages 3-5, with a caregiver. We'll have a simple craft after storytime. Are you in 4th-8th grade and interested in making a difference in your community? Come join the Hampton Park Library’s new Tween Leadership Council! The TLC will take a leadership role in creating and hosting library programs, planning and assisting with various service projects, and more!

Registration is not required. All 4-8th grade students are welcome.

Great Decisions 2019: Refugees and Global Migration

Refugees and Global Migration will be presented by Raluca Viman-Miller, Ph.D. Prepare to discuss the world. Great Decisions is America's largest discussion program on world affairs. Forsyth County Public Library and the University of North Georgia will present information and lead discussions on a range of fascinating geopolitical topics. Copies of the Great Decisions Briefing Book and DVD are available for checkout at the library.
