Fiber Arts and Friends

Fiber arts includes knitting, crocheting, sewing, needlepoint, and any other activity that uses fiber or fabric. Bring your current project or simply grab your needles, yarn, hook, spinning wheel, and patterns to join in the fiber arts fun. This program is for adults.

Paws to Read

For grades kindergarten and up. Paws to Read gives patrons of all ages an opportunity to read and relax with a certified therapy dog while improving literacy skills. Participants sign up at the door for 15-minute sessions. Advance registration is not required.

Genealogy with Jessie Whitaker: Intermediate Level

4-week series meets Wednesdays
January 23, 30, February 6 and 13
6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Jessie Whitaker will expand on the basic genealogy skills from her previous classes using Family Search. This is a four-week series that builds on previous knowledge. Attendance at the previous class is not a prerequisite.

Youth Leadership Workshop With the Toastmasters

The ToastMasters organization is offering an eight week workshop for middle and high school students on leadership and public speaking. Participants will practice speaking and listening skills in a positive environment and receive coaching from experienced speakers. By the end of the eight week workshop, teens will be able to speak to groups or individuals with confidence and poise. The workshop will meet each Wednesday from 6:30 to 8:00 for eight weeks, January 9 to February 27, 2019. Please register for the January 9 event in order to reserve your place for the full eight week program.
