Books & Babies for Walkers

Develop baby's pre-literacy skills as well as physical, social, and mental development. This storytime introduces a love for books, song, movement, rhythm and rhyme. Improve motor, sensory and social skills during free play time, which also provides an opportunity for both babies and parents to socialize. Books & Babies is also about parents as you bond and learn with baby as well as meet other parents in the community.
This program is for babies up to 24 months old, with a parent or caregiver, and lasts 20-30 minutes.
No registration required.

We also incorporate action rhymes, songs, and movement to help support your toddler’s developing literacy in fun and exciting ways. Family Fun Night: Parents vs. Kids Game Night

Why should kids have all the fun? Parents grab the kids and join us monthly for STEAM challenges, games, puzzles and more!

Enjoy some of our big games like Connect 4, Jenga, and some board and card games for some friendly family competition.

This program is for families with children grades K-5. Space in this program is limited. Tickets to the program will be available 15 minutes prior to start time.

Are you a writer who is looking for a local resource and a forum for your work? Are you looking for some feedback about your writing?

Then join us on the first Thursday of each month at Sharon Forks Library from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. to discuss works of others in the group and receive constructive feedback about your own. No advance registration is required to attend and all writers are welcome. Each meeting will last approximately one and one-half hours.

This program is for adults, ages 18+, only, but all types of writing are welcome!

Welcome everyone! ¡Bienvenidos a todos! Join us at the library for a celebration of Latin American culture just in time for El Día de los Muertos (The Day of the Dead). Storyteller Barry Stewart Mann will present stories and poetry from Latin America in English and Spanish, too! This program is for all ages and speakers of every language. No registration is required.
