Cumming Historic Cemetery Walking Tour

Unearth History

Established in 1834, the Cumming Historic Cemetery is the oldest cemetery in Forsyth County and is the final resting place for many of Forsyth County's original settlers. Join FCPL staff on a guided walking tour to learn the history of the cemetery, the stories of unique individuals buried there, and design motifs of tombstones. We will also discuss how cemeteries are useful for researching local history.

Participants are asked to meet outside the front gates of the cemetery. Please bring water and wear suitable footwear and clothing. If the weather is unfavorable, the program will meet in the Meeting Room of the Sharon Forks Library.
