The Acting Troupe of Lambert High School will provide a sneak peek of their upcoming production of Between the Lines, a heartfelt new musical based on the beloved novel by Jodi Picoult and Samantha van Leer. This event will include scenes and songs from their production as well as a page-to-stage discussion and an actor/director Q&A.
Blending fantasy and reality, Between the Lines follows Delilah, a teenager navigating life after her parents’ divorce, who feels like her own story has been rewritten without her. She finds escape in the pages of a children’s fairy tale—until the book’s handsome prince suddenly speaks to her. Filled with humor, romance, and dazzling music, Between the Lines is a magical reminder that we all have the power to write our own story.
This event is for older teens and adults. The production is rated PG-13 and deals with bullying and loss. There is some harsh language and situations that may not be suitable for a younger audience. Parental discretion is advised.
Between the Lines opens Friday, October 10 at 7:00 p.m. and runs on October 11, 16, 17 and 18—with a matinee at 2pm on October 18—and will be presented as a co-curricular event for the 8th Period Competition Musical Theatre class. A cut version will be presented in competition regionally at the GHSA One-Act competition at the end of October.
