Learn about the history of Black radio and the first Black-owned radio station in Atlanta, founded in 1949. Enjoy a display of broadcasting equipment and actual radio artifacts from the 50s and 60s and meet those who worked with the pioneers of Black radio! The mission of the National Black Radio Hall of Fame Museum is to procure, interpret, and conserve African American cultural heritage as it pertains to Black radio personalities and figures who were instrumental in their contribution to soul music.
