Don't Get Ripped Off
How to Publish Your Book, Presented by BookLogix
Thursday, October 02
6:30pm - 7:30pm
Sharon Forks Library
Sharon Forks Meeting RoomThere are so many horror stories these days about writers falling victim to scams, shams, and poor providers of publishing services. Unfortunately, we hear them all the time...writers losing all their files, signing away rights to a book or rights to their next manuscript, writers paying thousands of dollars for services that end up being poorly executed or not executed at all. With so many publishing providers popping up every day, how can a writer protect themselves, their work, and their wallet? This session covers common ways writers get “burned,” questions to ask, red flags to look out for, and more.
About the Presenter: BookLogix is a nontraditional publisher and book printer with a mission to change the publishing landscape. By producing quality work and educating authors on the necessities of publishing standards, they contribute to a market in which independently published books stand toe-to-toe with traditionally published books.
