Sharon Forks Meeting RoomThis Month in the Society: The Great Strawberry Jam-boree!
Capture the sweet taste of summer! This month, we are exploring the science of food preservation. Families will work side-by-side to mash fresh, juicy strawberries, balance the sweetness, and learn how pectin transforms fruit into spreadable magic—no stove or canning boiling required!
Every family will mix their own batch of delicious strawberry freezer jam, perfect for topping morning toast or sharing with neighbors. You'll leave with a jar of your handmade spread, a custom label to decorate together, a recipe card to add to your family homestead journal, and the skills to preserve any seasonal fruit that comes your way.
This program is for families with children elementary age and up. Registration is not required but supplies may be limited.
