World of Wonder - Holiday Edition

Passport to Winter Festivals

December is a time for celebration all over the earth, but not everyone observes the same traditions or watches the snow fall! Grab your passport as we embark on a festive journey to see how different cultures bring warmth, light, and joy to the winter season.

On this global tour, we will explore a variety of spectacular holidays and seasonal transitions from across the globe. We’ll stop in the chilly Netherlands to learn about Sinterklaas, where children leave out wooden shoes hoping for sweet treats. We'll also chase the sun to India to discover Makar Sankranti, a vibrant harvest festival celebrated with sweet treats and skies filled with brilliant, colorful kites. Along the way, we will dive into other unique winter festivals from around the world, uncovering the diverse ways communities gather together during the darkest days of the year.

Come explore global traditions, learn new festive greetings, and get hands-on with creative holiday crafts inspired by our travels!
