On December 29, 1847, the charter for the city of Atlanta was finalized, marking the beginning of a fascinating city that would soon become Georgia's capital and become an instrumental part in Southern history. Join us to learn more about the "Gate City of the South" with Archive Atlanta host, Victoria Lemos.

About Victoria Lemos

Victoria Lemos is the voice, sweat and tears behind Archive Atlanta, a weekly history podcast sharing the stories of the people, places, and events that have made Atlanta what it is. Born in NYC to immigrant parents, she's called Atlanta home for the last 15 years. A lifelong history lover, she began volunteering as a tour guide, then did bicycle tours, and now does private walking tours around the city. She also does independent research for individuals, institutions, and corporations.
