How do I request my items be held in the pickup lockers?
When placing a hold, please select Library Hold Lockers as the pickup location.

What times are the lockers available?
The lockers are available anytime and any day - 24/7.

When I enter my barcode and PIN, it says there are no items waiting for me.
Your items are not yet ready for you to pick up, or your items are at another location, or you do not currently have any holds.

Can I enter my username instead of barcode?
No, usernames will not work with the Hold Locker. Please use your barcode or student ID.

How long will my items be held?
All items are held for 7 days, except for Chromebooks and Museum/Park passes.
Chromebooks and Museum/Park passes are held until 8:00 a.m. the following morning.

How are items checked out to me?
As soon as the locker door opens, your items will show as checked out on your account.

I normally check out a lot of items, can I still use the hold lockers?
Yes, lockers can hold multiple items. If your items do not fit in one locker, we will place them into multiple lockers.
When retrieving your items, you can open one locker at a time by pressing the "Open locker" button on the display screen, or you can open all lockers at once by pressing all the "Open locker" buttons.

What if my items do not fit into a single locker?
If your items do not fit in one locker, we will place them into multiple lockers.
When retrieving your items, you can open one locker at a time by pressing the "Open locker" button on the display screen, or you can open all lockers at once by pressing all the "Open locker" buttons.
Once a locker opens, the system automatically checks the items out to your account. Please remove all items before closing the locker doors.

What if I don’t want all the items in my locker?
If there are items in your hold locker that you do not wish to keep, please return them using the drive-up book return or the book return located inside the library.

What if the locker door is accidentally closed before removing all items? Can I reopen the door?
No, once the locker door closes only a staff member can re-open it.
If the library is open, staff can retrieve your items for you. Please visit the Ask Us desk for assistance.
If the library is closed, please contact us during regular open hours. Staff can retrieve the items and place them back on hold for you to pick up during your next visit.

What if I need assistance?
For assistance, please call the library at 770-781-9840 during regular open hours.

Can I pick up Interlibrary Loans from the lockers?
No, Interlibrary Loans can only be picked up inside a library branch.

Can I pick up Chromebooks or Museum/ Park passes from the lockers?
Yes, after speaking to a staff member from a library branch, you can request to pick up these items from the hold lockers.
Please note that these items will only be held until 8:00 a.m. the next morning. -
Can I pick up Launchpads from the lockers?
Yes, request this as normal and select Library Hold Lockers as the pickup location.

Can I pick up kits from the lockers?
No, due to their size, kits cannot be picked up from the lockers.

Can I return items to the locker?
No, the lockers are used for pick up only. Please use the adjacent drive-up book return, also available 24/7.
