FAQ

Here are some of the questions you may have regarding LinkedIn Learning for Library:

Why am I being prompted to sign in again when accessing LinkedIn Learning?

Maintaining patron trust is one of LinkedIn Learning's key values, and they are taking all possible security measures to protect your account. As a result, you’ll automatically be logged out after 60 days, and be prompted to sign in again when you want to access the content.

What if I lose my library card?

You'll be able to access your Learning account and history, even if you don’t have the physical card.

If you lose your library card and are issued a new number from your library, your previous learning history won’t be available under the new library card number and PIN.

Can I download a certificate of completion with my name on it?

Regrettably, no. LinkedIn's continued commitment to privacy prevents LinkedIn from capturing personally identifiable information (PII) from patrons. Therefore, your name cannot be included on certificates of completion.

Can library patrons access Continued Education Units (CEUs)?

Unfortunately, no. Library patrons cannot access CEUs due to the terms and conditions from external providers that require first and last names on the certificates.

In order to maintain privacy commitments to library patrons, no personally identifiable information from patrons (first name/last name) can be stored.
