Winter Reading Challenge is for all ages!

Challenge Period: December 19, 2025 – January 19, 2026

Registration opens on Friday, December 19, 2025.

How It Works

Earn Points

Log your reading and earn points.
1 minute of reading = 1 point.

If logging for a preschooler, you may want to log books.
1 book read = 20 points.

At 500 points, you will complete the challenge and automatically get entered into the grand prize drawing for your age group.

Earn Prizes

Children ages 0–5th grade

Children ages 0–5th grade will earn Winter Reading Buttons at 250 and 500 points. Visit each branch (and the Bookmobile!) to earn that location's unique button.

Teens and Adults

Teens in grades 6-12 and adults will earn Winter Reading stickers at 250 and 500 points. At 500 points, teens and adults will get a Friends and Advocates Bookstore coupon for one free book up to $3.00 in value.
