About Lisa Mayes and Julie Schreiber
Lisa Mayes is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and works as an Oncology Clinical Social Worker for Northside Hospital’s Atlanta Campus. She has been a Social Worker for 24 years. Lisa has a Master’s degree in Social Work from Case Western Reserve University and Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from John Carroll University. Lisa is a certified Grief Recovery Specialist and has been touched personally in her own life by the experience of numerous close family members and friends who are cancer survivors and has been a caregiver to family members coping with cancer.
Julie Schreiber is the supervisor of Oncology Patient Navigation at Northside Hospital. Oncology patient navigators are people who assist the newly cancer-diagnosed to get the care they need. Prior to becoming a supervisor she was a breast cancer nurse navigator both at Northside Hospital and at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She got her nursing education in Portland, Oregon and in Knoxville, Tennessee. She is certified in oncology care, breast care, and oncology navigation.
