Whether you’ve never touched a 20-sided die, or you’re a veteran gamer ready to step behind the screen, this four-part series will give you a solid foundation to run your own Dungeons & Dragons game with confidence.
Session 4: Playing The Role. "How do you want to do this?" Our last session focuses in on soft skills, like narrative technique, rendering NPCs, reaction to player choices, and managing the table. Good descriptions and lively character portrayals are important, and so are player agency, feedback, and safety. We'll go into how calibrating all of these come down to the same principles, and talk tools and techniques to make it work.
