If you crave adventure, strange happenings, and thought-provoking conversation, this is the book club for you! Step outside of reality and discuss stories that’ll leave you asking “what if?”
This book club meets at the Sharon Forks Library at 7:00 p.m. on the second Tuesday of every month. This month’s selection is Hum by Helen Phillips. This 2024 novel paints an evocative portrait of a near future where intelligent robots, climate change, and surveillance have changed the world.
Speculative fiction is “a type of story or literature that is set in a world that is different from the world we live in, or that deals with magical or imagined future events.” (Cambridge Dictionary)
