Join UGA Extension Master Naturalist Heather Kolich to learn about how to manage erosion control in your home landscaping in this adult-focused, family-friendly presentation. By learning how to plan, plant, and maintain landscapes wisely, you can create a healthier, more sustainable yard that saves money, reduces effort, and protects the environment. After, if the weather is good, we'll walk outside to look at erosion control methods used in Denmark Library's landscaping.

About the Presenter: Heather Kolich is a native Atlantan and a Double Dawg with degrees from the University of Georgia in Animal Science (BS) and Agricultural Leadership (MS). In her capacity as the UGA Extension Agriculture and Natural Resources Agent for Forsyth County, she works with farmers, homeowners, and other county agencies to help them achieve agricultural and horticultural goals. Heather also serves as the Forsyth County Extension Director and trains and manages Master Naturalist and Master Gardener Extension volunteers. Prior to joining Extension in 2011, she had a 15-year career as a freelance writer and editor, served as a sign language interpreter in Forsyth County Schools, and worked in research at a CDC field station and Yerkes Regional Primate Center at Emory University. Heather and her family have lived in Forsyth County since 1996.
