About the Presenters: Larry Alvord has 35 years of experience in research and development doing material testing in the medical device industry. Laurie Alvord has a broad range of experiences utilizing her degrees in engineering and education. She ran her own business and later developed curriculum for early childhood education and professional trainings for adults. Together, Larry and Laurie joined the Forsyth County Master Naturalist Extension Volunteers in 2018. They have worked on a variety of community environmental projects, including bat conservation. Larry and Laurie want to bring public awareness of the importance of bats as well as our natural environment.
