Join us for this citizen science project created by the University of Georgia. Drop by anytime between 11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. to receive a census sheet and record pollinators. We’ll also have fun pollinator crafts for kids. All collected data will be uploaded to help count our pollinator population! Forsyth County Master Gardeners will be on hand to help with any questions about the census.
About the Great Southeast Pollinator Census: Protecting the Southeast's Pollinators One Count at a Time! The Great Southeast Pollinator Census is open to residents of Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Alabama. Participants count the insects that land on a pollinator plant for 15 minutes and put the insects into one of eight categories (carpenter bee, bumble bee, honeybee, small bee, wasp, fly, butterfly/moth, or other insects). Please visit https://ggapc.org/ for more information on the census.
