University of North Georgia (UNG) professor Dr. Melissa Schindler will discuss the project "Narrative North Georgia," and her students will present the lives of several North Georgia residents who lived in the region between 1820-1940. University students have collected information from the archives at UNG, the Forsyth County Historical Society, and online resources. Through this project, UNG is working to highlight local history as well as to strengthen the connection between students and the communities surrounding the university's five campuses.
Melissa E. Schindler, Ph.D., Assistant Professor in the English Department at the University of North Georgia. Her seminars include World Literature, Multicultural American Literature, and Africana Studies.
